The table above lists all the known deities of Gaul and Britain and includes as complete a list as possible of all the gods and heroes of the ancient Welsh texts. Where a deity is analyzed on this website all results returned by the form above are linked through to the web page for that deity. Plaese note that this is the first version of this search form and it may be a little buggy. Also, there are about 850 known inscriptions missing from this list. They will be added over the next fortnight or so.
Currently there are 2099 entries in the database, covering Gaulish, Celtiberian, Brythinic and Cymric deities so if you make a query for 'all' and print the results out you will get almost fifty pages of output. Also note that the gods are sorted aplphabetically but the results are returned based on the 'standard' name of the god.
