Broccus
A Galatian God, also know as Brocchus: He of the Badger-realm or The Buck-toothed One
Broccus (Brocchus) is a Galician god known from epigraphic evidence in Boñar Spain where he may be the titular deity of the area. This would potentially make Broccus a 'father of the tribe' type of deity. |

Known from Epigraphic evidence in Boñar Spain. The etymology is uncertain and might be derived from the Latin for buck-toothed, which would preculude a Celtic origin. However, Broccus might also be derived from the Brythonic broch or badger. Making him the god of the badger land, or possibly even the badger god.
Some have proposed that the name Boñar is itself derived from Broccus, making the god the genius locus of the region.
If Broccus truly is the titular deity of Boñar then this would make him a 'father of the tribe' kind of deity and it would not be unusual for such a god to bear the name of an animal.
