Eliavres is a figure from Breton folklore. A druid and a sorcerer of notable devoiusness, Eliavres was in love with Arthur's niece, Ysaive.

Unfortunately, Ysaive was already married to Karadoc, ruler of Vannes and Nantes. Now, using his magical skills Eliavres made it so that whenever Ysaive and Karadoc began to make love Eliavres took Karadoc's place and subsittuted a metamorphosed mare, sow, or bitch as Karadoc's partner.

Eventually Ysaive gave birth to a child, named Karadoc Breifbras (Loud-bellow) who eventually discovered the truth about his parentage and told his father. Karadoc vowed to avenge himself on Eliavres. On threat of a bloody and ignoble death Karadoc forced Eliavres to publicly copulate with a bitch a sow and a mare.

Each of these encounters resulted in a pregnancy with the bitch giving brith to a boy named Guinalot, the mare gave birth to Lorigal and the sow yielded the fabled boar Tourtain (who is the Breton cognate of the Cymric Twrch Trwyth.
