Gaul: Binding King

Minuris is a god known from a single inscription found at Herapel, Germany (CIL XIII 04475). Unfotunately nothing is known about this deity save his name which can be interpreted using the reconstructed proto-Celtic lexicon as containing the components *mi-nu- (to bind) and rig- (king) giving us 'Binding King' which indicates that Minuris might have been a deity of binding and spell-casting.
