Beef Curry Recipe

Origin: Reunion      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

1.2kg beef, cubed
5 onions, thinly sliced
6 garlic cloves
3 ripe toamtoes, chopped
3cm length ginger, grated
1 sprig thyme
salt and black pepper, to taste
oil for frying

Beef Curry Preparation:


Method:

Fry the beef in oil for a few minutes then add the onions, garlic and tomato. Cook for 4 minutes then add the ginger and thyme. Add water to cover, season with salt and pepper and simmer until all the water has evaporated.

Serve with rice and an African hot sauce.
