Mango-Orange Drink Recipe

Origin: Tanzania      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

700ml water
100g sugar
1 tbsp orange zest, finely grated
450g mango, mashed
250ml fresh orange juice
120ml freshly-squeezed lemon juice

Mango-Orange Drink Preparation:


Method:

Heat the water with the sugar and orange zest over a low heat until all the sugar has disolved. Allow to cool to room temperature then add the mango flesh and the orange and lemon juices. Mix well then place in the fridge to cool. Serve cold over crushed ice.
