Celtnet Recipes for Special Occasions

Welcome to the Celtnet Recipes section for Special Occasions recipes. — Here you will find links to all the pages on this site that deal with special occasions. You will find information about the origins of the festival, the history of the Festival, as well as links to recipes associated with that festival throughout the ages. Currently there's a bit of a Celtic slant to the pages created thus far, but I hope to add information about and recipes from the major festivals of other cultures as time allows.

Please not that this recipe page (and all the other recipe pages on this site) are brought to you in association with the 'One Million People' campaign, which attempts to make a vailable a number of ancient texts (particularly those relating to recipes) available for free on this site.

For dates in the calendar that move (Easter, Thanksgiving, Shrove Tuesday, Eid etc), the table below gives the date for that festival in the current year, 2012.
